Create a 60-Second Video on Cesar E. Chavez and his contribution to farmworkers in America or highlight a movement or effort aimed at making our community a better place.


Upload your video to Instagram or Facebook with the hashtags “#CesarChavez2019” and “#Contest”


Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:

Use of theme (40%):

Includes a clear statement of purpose or theme. It is relevant to the work of Cesar Chavez and the farmworkers movement. It discusses a movement or effort aimed at making our community a better place.

Originality (40%):

Includes original and well-reasoned thoughts.

Cinematography (20%):

-Audio: Music/ sounds effects enhance the story. Audio is sharp and balanced throughout the video.

-Editing: It has mostly smooth flow, effective pacing and mostly attention to continuity. Scenes blend smoothly and feel professional.

-Camera Shots: Creative use of the camera including a variety of shots, angles & depths of field. Steady camera.

-Lighting: No shadows and able to see faces, objects and text clearly.


Inspiration

We celebrate the legacy of Cesar E. Chavez in part because of his commitment to the following ten core values:
